I've pondered Death many times, I've watched Death before. Seen it come and the last moments of suffering before a sweet ease took over, and the world errupted around his lifeless body. The Newsroom
Yesterday I did the draft design of the 'feature' wall in the Newsroom that I'm going to paint and guess what? I did the entire design in shades of orange when in fact the wall is green. Yeah. Glamourous right? So i have to redo the damned thing tonight.
And if u think that's stupid. U must hear what XB did today. First of all, he was finalising the name cards for The Trimedia and he overwrote the file that he spent a long and frustrating time on. THat's not so bad. WAIT. THEN, he started complaining,
XB: 'Do you have illustator?'
ME: 'Yes..'
XB: 'What about Flash, and Dreamweaver?'
Me: 'Yah, I have everything on this computer.'
XB: 'FUCK, I don't have anything on this computer... I don't even have Microsoft Office!'
So he calls the technician, Mr. Yap, and Mr. Yap says that it will take a few days for him to install everything because according to XB, 'there is nothing on the computer'. So XB unplugs his eMac, makes me undo all the neat and tidy wiring that I did last week and CARRIES the giant eMac down to the technician's office.
15 Minutes later Mr. Yap comes back. With the eMac.
ME: 'XB, what happened? Why did he bring it up again?'
XB: 'Oh because actually all the software is already inside, i just didn't know where to find it.'

YES. I HAVE RECIEVED MY BRAND NEW SONY ERICSSON WALKMAN PHONE AND IT IS UBER-GLAM.
First of all, before you all start calling my an ungrateful brat who loses her phone and gets a new one within 3 days, I just want to set the record straight. I paid for the phone myself with a chunk off my savings. Righto. So, after the initial denial and eventual acceptance that I had lost my pretty pretty Motorola V3, I decided to be positive and start phone shopping.
Being the lazy bastard that I am, I bought everything online. Had M1 deliver my renewed 3G sim card to my door and Starhub deliver the phone to my door too. HAHA .. yeh, that's how lazy I am. And the phone is FANTASTIC.
I have 256 megs of space for plenty plenty songs and THREE frickin speakers and the phone also came with in-earphones. HEHE. AND THE BEST PART: It came with 3D games, one of which is one of my favourite games of all time, WORMS. HAHA .. omg i'm so frickin hooked. Within 2 days i've hit level 6. And I was playing a spectacularly exciting game and was down to one worm per side, mine LIFE: 02, computer LIFE: 08. OMG SO EXCITING RIGHT.
And then my phone ran out of batt and cut the game off.

Fashionably Loud

Okay, I wasn't that excited about Fashionably Loud except for the fact that Placebo would be playing. And honestly, I didn't even decide to go until yesterday. And it turns out the TriMedia had 31 tickets. So being a kind soul, I brought Jules and Ariel. The show was damn good and the models were orgasmically hot. Sashi's friend was one of the models. Weird. Anyways, while me and jules were vibrating to Placebo and cumming waterfalls from all the hot male models, this DAMN FUCKING SMELLY CHI next to us was MOSHING. OMg dude. Placebo isn't exactly hardcore rock. They are more along the lines of Coldplay or something. ANd he was MOSHING with his CHI-SMELLY-ARMPITS in our faces. It was so gross, and he was jumping around really violently and using Jules as a sponge to wipe his sweat on. I kept catching the Security-Boucer guy's eye and finally he tapped the guy's shoulder and was like, Dude, RELAX la. then he started laughing. Me and Joo just burst out laughing.
I feel really sorry for his girlfriend because he smelt like dog shit covered in moss. Anyhoo.. after the show, we walked out to 7-11 and bought some drinks. And we were standing around in the middle of nowhere, kinda near the fountain at Taka, and the MODELS started coming out of the frickin tent. Jules and I came in WATERFALLS.
If male models like that grew on trees I would sell my soul in exchange for that tree. We were just openly goggling at them and then one of them walked past us like within a foot of us and jules just squealed like a pig. THen the glammest thing happened.
PLACEBO FUCKING WALKED THROUGH US. THROUGH US. AS IN AROUND US AND BETWEEN US AND ALL.
ANd jules the dumbfuck didn't even know until after they passed us. Me and Ariel saw them walking towards us and we just stared in shock and Jules was happily yacking away about her chi. Oh dood that was the hottest thing in my life. I was inches away from Placebo. omg..
THe only thing that beats this is touching Alex Kapranos (HAHA JULES.)

Second of all I glamly dropped my dad's camera and spoilt it so i'm rushing down to the camera hospital a.s.a.p tmrw morning to get it fixed and hope he will never know. Thirdly, SINGAPORE IS FUCKING HOT. Fourthly, my wolverine piece got featured as 'Daily Deviation' on DeviantART, here's the [LINK] if u wanna check it out. And last of all, I LOST MY FUCKING PHONE. Like slipped out of my damned pocket in the cab.
I got out of my shower and went to my room and clicked on DA and there was my message, 586 Favourites added and 167 comments. Thus I began to jump up and down and running around naked in my room. And what should happen next? I thought, oh my god, i have to call someone. And then I thought, where the fuck is my phone.

Well, I've officially kicked off my latest occupation as a freelance designer / photographer. If anyone would like to hire me do call. (: Anyways.. been slogging away at this web-folio for the past week because of the Charlton Media thing that I'm hoping to get. Mm.. yes, i also want to say to my feature writing group / news writing group that I'm really really really sorry because I lost our newspaper when my computer crashed last semester. It feels like someone stabbed me in the groin cause that was so much sweat and blood. haha
Anyhoo, I'm going to Hong Kong in 2 days! OMG.. So fuckin exciting. U guys all suck because Singapore has been unusually hot and humid and HONG KONG IS 22 to 11 DEGREES. HAHAHAHHA .. I'm so happy. I'm going to prance around on rainbows.

Danni's Big Adventure
Listening to Meltdown by Ash
First of all, let me introduce you to Danni:
Danni was born in the year of the monkey, loves monkeys, shaved his head to look like a monkey, and also behaves like one. He is also a hard-core toy collector. Not the Toys 'R' Us kiddy kind.. but the real figurines and stuff. He has a room stacked floor-to-ceiling with toys and buys stuff like light-sabre replicas for $500. :| (a passion i will never understand. Him walking into a toy shop is like me & xb discovering a pile of cameras for $3 each. Or my sister walking into Gucci.) As u know.. yesterday, our adventure took us all over Singapore and we also made a pit stop at:
Clarke Quay! Yes. It turns out that the place where MOS stands used to hold many, many.. MANY toy shops. Shame eh.. but i'm not sad. haha .. anyways.. yesterday we covered 18 toy shops in all.. which is the majority of the addresses on his list. Today, we decided to attempt the rest. BUT. While we shopped for toys and gifts for his family, we decided to do some sightseeing too. So we went to the:
Esplanade! Yes. The giant durian. Well actually we went to Raffles City, down through CitiLink and then to Suntec, through suntec (toy shops), to Millenia Walk (toy shops & CANDY EMPIRE) and then to Marina, through Marina and to the Esplanade (toy shops):
(BTW Jules, I found a Draco Malfoy figuring, a Draco Malfoy badge and a Slytherin Goblet - ALL ORIGINAL REPLICAS. AND I BOUGHT YOU NONE.)
...And of course we just HAD to take a tourist photo in front of the city-line and the merlion. Then we walked back to citylink, through to cityhall and down to Peninsula (toy shops). Finally, a very satisfied Danni and a very hungry me decided that we had enough and hopped onto 7 down to Holland Village where we had noodles that tasted like heaven. Sat and smoked through to 6pm. Then hopped over to Tango's and started drinking at 6.. bar-hopped and drank all the way through to 10pm. And Danni was a total gentleman.. paid for everything. ha ha.. if u ever read this, THANKS! really, i mean it. (:
And of course we just had to go to Eski Bar (another tourist thing):
and froze our butts off. I can't believe Jules and I survived in that room without jackets for almost half an hour.
So yay.. to sum it up i don't think i've travelled this much around Singapore since XB and I dragged our butts around on that photography competition. But yes, atleast now I know how to get everywhere by bus/foot/mrt and I also know where to find every single toy shop that exists in Singapore. hehe .. another round early tomorrow and then it's off to ice hockey. YAY! haha .. so psyched.
Mei: We actually wanted to go to Japan, but we haven't yet learnt how to crap money and Malaysia is too unglam. so we're going to HK and i just want to say HAHA SUCKER!!! hahaaha

Somehow the holidays don't feel like holidays.. these are the things i wanted to accomplish this month:
1. Take up ice hockey.
2. Vector
3. Get my provisional license
4. Do up my portfolio
5. Go to Hong Kong!
6. Hunt for unis
So far i'm progressed quite smoothly through 1 and the way to 3 but somehow i'm jammed at 4. And the worst bit is that there's an offer as magazine designer for Charlton media and me and xb are signing up but they want our portfolios and resumes a.s.a.p. which means I HAVE BEEN WORKING LIKE A MAD PERSON.
You won't believe that this is the lifestyle of someone on holiday. Ever since i met Joo & XB on tuesday i've worked all through to the middle of thursday morning and then slept 4 hours and then got up to go meet Danni. Which is today.
[Let me sidetrack] It was actually a lotta fun. God we went to like a million toy shops.. walked all over Singapore. He had a LIST with addresses and all. And it turns out that toys are actually pretty cool. I'm a newfound fan of Mc Farlane, the artist for Spawn. I really wanna draw his stuff.. especially the dragons. So basically we went from orchard mrt to far east and then to cine and then to midpoint and then to river valley, took a pitstop along the river for some drinks and then walked down to peninsular and then to sunshine plaza and then to bras brasah. haha .. insane eh? Tomorrow we're hitting suntec and holland village.
So anyways.. back to what I was saying before. I feel like i've hardly slept.. i met Danni way in the morning, got home at night, started on my webfolio again and now it's the frickin middle of the morning already. And in a few hours i'm going to meet Danni again. omg.. and tomorrow when i get home i've gotta work again and then on saturday morning i'm meeting Danni again and then saturday evening it's two hours ice skating and two hours hockey training.
the only thing keeping me sane is knowing that I'm going to Hong Kong next week.
Somehow the holidays don't feel like holidays.. these are the things i wanted to accomplish this month:
1. Take up ice hockey.
2. Vector
3. Get my provisional license
4. Do up my portfolio
5. Go to Hong Kong!
6. Hunt for unis
So far i'm progressed quite smoothly through 1 and the way to 3 but somehow i'm jammed at 4. And the worst bit is that there's an offer as magazine designer for Charlton media and me and xb are signing up but they want our portfolios and resumes a.s.a.p. which means I HAVE BEEN WORKING LIKE A MAD PERSON.
You won't believe that this is the lifestyle of someone on holiday. Ever since i met Joo & XB on tuesday i've worked all through to the middle of thursday morning and then slept 4 hours and then got up to go meet Danni. Which is today.
[Let me sidetrack] It was actually a lotta fun. God we went to like a million toy shops.. walked all over Singapore. He had a LIST with addresses and all. And it turns out that toys are actually pretty cool. I'm a newfound fan of Mc Farlane, the artist for Spawn. I really wanna draw his stuff.. especially the dragons. So basically we went from orchard mrt to far east and then to cine and then to midpoint and then to river valley, took a pitstop along the river for some drinks and then walked down to peninsular and then to sunshine plaza and then to bras brasah. haha .. insane eh? I decided to take a break from my wolverine vector by: making another vector. Super minimalist wallpaper for anyone.. took about half an hour to do. It's available for download here or at my deviantart page.. here's a direct link.
Just got home from ice hockey. (: It was pretty fun, damn tiring but quite entertaining.. only fell down once. Although for the past 5 years, the only ice i ever touched was the kind that you put in drinks.. i discovered that I can still skate. Still a bit unsteady la.. but i think if I practice I can get it right. And Ian and Bronson taught me to brake.. so.. once i get that down I should be fine. Well.. off to bed.. tomorrow it's vector time again. haha.. I live such a sad life.

Our Lovely Day Out
Listening to Marching Bands Of Manhattan by Death Cab
we were supposed to go to MOS last night, but we ended up going to Marina Bay for steamboat. Haha .. I think it was even more fun. For some reason we've beene exploring more and more of suburbia lately. LOL.. Went to Tampines the other day with Joo, Moo and Ian to check out the hockey shop. (: I'm so psyched about ice hockey, collected all the gear from Moo already.. and Ian's gonna get the other guys to lend me a stick and gloves and shit. Think I'll go for training on Saturday. (:
Anyways, back to steamboat. WE ATE FUCKLOADS! omg.. it was a goddamned buffet. haha .. we just ate and ate and ate. And Jules cannot cook for nuts. AND, Jon tried to cook fucking egg omelette and the whole shit just stuck to the foil and started to burn. haha .. and our tom yam soup dried into paste. HAHA .. damn sad la.. in the end we stayed really late, took a romantic walk out to the 'beach' and talked about horror movies and sex. haha .. as usual.
And Jon drove us back to the station in his pick-up truck, which was fuckloads of fun. heehee .. remember that time when we all sat in the back of the truck and jules wasn't there? HAHAHAH
