Danni's Big Adventure

First of all, let me introduce you to Danni:

Danni was born in the year of the monkey, loves monkeys, shaved his head to look like a monkey, and also behaves like one. He is also a hard-core toy collector. Not the Toys 'R' Us kiddy kind.. but the real figurines and stuff. He has a room stacked floor-to-ceiling with toys and buys stuff like light-sabre replicas for $500. :| (a passion i will never understand. Him walking into a toy shop is like me & xb discovering a pile of cameras for $3 each. Or my sister walking into Gucci.) As u know.. yesterday, our adventure took us all over Singapore and we also made a pit stop at:

Clarke Quay! Yes. It turns out that the place where MOS stands used to hold many, many.. MANY toy shops. Shame eh.. but i'm not sad. haha .. anyways.. yesterday we covered 18 toy shops in all.. which is the majority of the addresses on his list. Today, we decided to attempt the rest. BUT. While we shopped for toys and gifts for his family, we decided to do some sightseeing too. So we went to the:

Esplanade! Yes. The giant durian. Well actually we went to Raffles City, down through CitiLink and then to Suntec, through suntec (toy shops), to Millenia Walk (toy shops & CANDY EMPIRE) and then to Marina, through Marina and to the Esplanade (toy shops):

(BTW Jules, I found a Draco Malfoy figuring, a Draco Malfoy badge and a Slytherin Goblet - ALL ORIGINAL REPLICAS. AND I BOUGHT YOU NONE.)

...And of course we just HAD to take a tourist photo in front of the city-line and the merlion. Then we walked back to citylink, through to cityhall and down to Peninsula (toy shops). Finally, a very satisfied Danni and a very hungry me decided that we had enough and hopped onto 7 down to Holland Village where we had noodles that tasted like heaven. Sat and smoked through to 6pm. Then hopped over to Tango's and started drinking at 6.. bar-hopped and drank all the way through to 10pm. And Danni was a total gentleman.. paid for everything. ha ha.. if u ever read this, THANKS! really, i mean it. (:

And of course we just had to go to Eski Bar (another tourist thing):

and froze our butts off. I can't believe Jules and I survived in that room without jackets for almost half an hour.
So yay.. to sum it up i don't think i've travelled this much around Singapore since XB and I dragged our butts around on that photography competition. But yes, atleast now I know how to get everywhere by bus/foot/mrt and I also know where to find every single toy shop that exists in Singapore. hehe .. another round early tomorrow and then it's off to ice hockey. YAY! haha .. so psyched.

Mei: We actually wanted to go to Japan, but we haven't yet learnt how to crap money and Malaysia is too unglam. so we're going to HK and i just want to say HAHA SUCKER!!! hahaaha
